Shelter Outreach Services of Ohio is a low-cost, non-profit spay and neuter clinic serving low-income families and animal rescue organizations in the greater Columbus area. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of shelter animals and companion animals of low-income families by providing affordable veterinary care and to help reduce the homeless pet population through spay/neuter programs.
SOS of Ohio was established in 2007 by Dr. Melanie deHaan as a mobile MASH clinic serving humane societies and area shelters. In February of 2009, SOS of Ohio was reestablished in its current form as a Humane Alliance style high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter clinic serving both rescue organizations and the general public.
While our primary focus remains spay and neuter, we also offer other low-cost veterinary services, such as vaccinations and treatment for minor illnesses.
Administrative Hours: 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday – Thursday
Spay/neuter surgeries: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
Wellness visits: Wednesday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on a first come, first served basis.
Your support is vital to our mission. SOS of Ohio offers low-cost spay and neuter and other veterinary services to shelters and low-income families in the Columbus area.
